Yanggo's Free Relief Transport Support in Flood-Affected Areas
Yanggo has been transporting relief materials free of charge to over 1,000 people in flood-affected Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot through its delivery cargo service. In this initiative, run in collaboration with local organizations, Yanggo's driver partners are also participating.
Kathmandu — Yanggo has been supporting the free transportation of relief materials to flood-affected areas through its Yanggo Delivery Cargo Service. This initiative, run in collaboration with local non-governmental organizations, has helped deliver relief materials to more than 1,000 people in the affected communities of Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot.
Since the start of relief operations after the Bhote Koshi flood, Yanggo has been providing necessary transportation support. As relief and rescue operations continue, Yanggo has continued its support through its delivery service.
Yanggo Delivery has been assisting local organizations such as Hami Nepal, Astitwa Nepal, and Crisis Connect Nepal in transporting relief materials within Kathmandu and from the Kathmandu Valley to the affected areas.
Yanggo's driver partners have also participated in this relief effort. On September 2, Yanggo's pilot partner Easy Ride Nepal organized an open blood donation program in its local community. The program was attended by Yanggo's leadership team, Yanggo head Mr. Santosh Pandey, driver partners, partner organizations, and local citizens.
"Sometimes there comes a time when it is more important to think about how we can help the community than about our regular work and goals. When we heard the news of the Bhote Koshi flood, we focused on how we could help quickly," said Yanggo head Santosh Pandey.
"We have large vehicles, driver partners, and a network that transports goods and people from one place to another on a daily basis. In such a situation, our priority is to extend the resources we have to the organizations engaged in relief work and provide the necessary support."
In addition to supporting the transportation of relief materials, Yanggo has also made it easier for citizens to contribute directly to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund through its digital platform. Through a special banner placed on the Yanggo app, users were directed to the official website of the Prime Minister's Relief Fund, where they could obtain relief-related information and make contributions for the affected communities.
