Technical Glitch at NEPSE Data Center: Securities Board Forms Investigation Team

Trading was suspended on Ashoj 5 after a technical problem occurred at the data center of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). After issues were detected in the data center that hosts the servers of 72 broker companies, the Securities Board of Nepal expressed serious concern over the incident.
The Board has instructed NEPSE to conduct the necessary study and investigation into the incident and submit a report with reforms to prevent such problems from recurring by Ashoj 12.
Similarly, a five-member inspection team led by the Board's Deputy Executive Director has been deployed to identify the cause of the trading halt, according to a statement issued by spokesperson Niranjan Ghimire.
The Board stated that it is committed to making the securities market clean, secure, and transparent.
