Kathmandu. Swabhiman Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has decided not to distribute any dividend to its shareholders for the fiscal year 2082/83. The institution's board of directors, in a meeting held this morning, decided to retain the distributable profit for that fiscal year.
With this decision, shareholders of the microfinance institution will not receive any dividend from the profits of fiscal year 2082/83. The institution has decided to submit its financial statements for that year to Nepal Rastra Bank for approval for the purpose of the annual general meeting.
The institution has stated that after the financial statements are approved by the central bank, they will be endorsed by the upcoming annual general meeting. The decision not to distribute dividends appears likely to affect investor expectations regarding the institution.
