‘Road Suggestion App’ launched to report complaints about damaged roads in Kathmandu Valley
The ‘Road Suggestion App’ has been launched to make maintenance of federal roads within the Kathmandu Valley more effective. The Road Division Office Kathmandu officially launched the app after successful testing, allowing citizens to register complaints about damaged roads and directly monitor the resolution process.
The ‘Road Suggestion App’ has been launched to make maintenance of damaged federal roads within the Kathmandu Valley more effective. The Road Division Office Kathmandu, under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, officially launched the app after successful testing.
According to the private secretariat of Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal, citizens within the Kathmandu Valley can register complaints and suggestions regarding the maintenance of damaged roads under federal roads through the app.
The app allows citizens to directly view the resolution process and status of complaints registered through it. The Road Division Office Kathmandu has stated that after a complaint is addressed, information about it will also be received through the app.
Currently, through the ‘Road Suggestion App’, complaints and suggestions can be registered regarding approximately 472 kilometers of roads under federal roads within the Kathmandu Valley. For roads not under federal jurisdiction, the Road Division Office Kathmandu has stated that citizens will also be provided information about which agency is responsible for that road.
Preparations have been advanced to expand the app nationwide, making road maintenance complaint management more effective. The goal is to expand the service by including Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in the app within the next two weeks, and gradually bring it into operation across the country.
