Preparation to Allow Security Agencies to Distribute LPG Cooking Gas
The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies is preparing to permit security agencies to sell and distribute cooking gas (LPG). According to Secretary Rudra Singh Tamang, adding LPG outlets at security agencies' petrol pumps will ease supply management.
Kathmandu — The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies is preparing to allow security agencies to sell and distribute cooking gas (LPG) as well. Secretary Rudra Singh Tamang shared this information during a program titled 'Facilitated Supply Management and Monitoring of Daily Consumable Goods' organized by the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee today.
According to Secretary Tamang, if distribution through security agencies can be done when gas distribution becomes difficult in the country, supply management will be eased. "Currently, security agencies including the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force have been selling and distributing petroleum products," he said. "If gas can also be distributed from the outlets of security agencies, it will be much easier."
He stated that necessary preparations have been made to ease the state during emergencies if security agencies selling petrol have at least one or two gas outlets as well.
Secretary Tamang informed that arrangements are being made in this regard, considering the potential shortage of gas.
