Prabhu Bank CEO Suman Sharma's case assigned to Judge Devi Kumari Chaudhary's bench
The fraud and criminal breach of trust case against Prabhu Bank CEO Suman Sharma has been assigned to Judge Devi Kumari Chaudhary's bench at Parsa District Court. Sharma, who surrendered to police on Tuesday, faces a detention hearing today.
Kathmandu — The case against Prabhu Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suman Sharma has been assigned to Judge Devi Kumari Chaudhary's bench at Parsa District Court. The case against Sharma, who surrendered to police on Tuesday, was presented before the bench today for a detention hearing.
In Chaudhary's bench, arguments will be heard on whether to send Sharma to jail for pre-trial detention or release him on bail or ordinary recognizance.
Sharma is accused of approving a loan while at the then Sunrise Bank but not disbursing it, and instead auctioning the collateral. A case has been filed against him on charges of fraud and criminal breach of trust.
Based on a complaint by Nirmala Devi, director of Anjali International, a case was filed against Sharma and 4 others.
