Prabhu Bank CEO Suman Sharma Released on Rs 200,000 Bail
Prabhu Bank's Chief Executive Officer Suman Sharma has been released on Rs 200,000 bail. Arrested in a case related to approving a loan while at then Sunrise Bank, not disbursing the loan but auctioning the collateral, Sharma will now be able to fight the case from outside.
Kathmandu — Prabhu Bank's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suman Sharma has been released on Rs 200,000 bail. Sharma, who was arrested in a case related to approving a loan while at then Sunrise Bank, not disbursing the loan but auctioning the collateral, was ordered to be released on bail by Parsa District Court.
The bench of Judge Devi Kumari Chaudhary ordered Sharma's release on Rs 200,000 bail. Sharma was released after submitting the bail amount as demanded by the court.
Sharma, who had been absconding after an arrest warrant was issued, surrendered to the police on Tuesday. After being released on bail, he will be able to fight the case from outside.
