PM Shah and Japanese Ambassador Toru Hold Courtesy Meeting, Focus on Disaster Support
Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Maida Toru held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah at Singha Durbar. The meeting covered Japan's commitment to support post-flood recovery and reconstruction, along with various aspects of Nepal–Japan relations.
Kathmandu — Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Maida Toru held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shah expressed gratitude for the goodwill, support, and solidarity Japan has shown toward the Government of Nepal and flood-affected citizens during the difficult times of disaster.
Ambassador Toru expressed sorrow over the damage caused by the floods and pledged Japan's commitment to assist Nepal in post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.
The Prime Minister's Secretariat said the meeting also included discussions on various aspects of ongoing Nepal–Japan cooperation and bilateral relations.
