'PinkWalk 2026' to be Held for Breast Cancer Awareness
With the aim of raising public awareness about breast cancer, Infinit Care, in collaboration with Cancer Care Nepal, is organizing 'PinkWalk 2026'. The walk will take place on Saturday, Ashoj 17 (October 3, 2026) at 6 AM, from Basantapur's Kathmandu Durbar Square to Patan Durbar Square in Mangal Bazaar, Lalitpur.
Kathmandu. 'PinkWalk 2026' is set to be organized with the objective of raising public awareness about breast cancer, spreading information about the importance of early detection, and expressing solidarity with cancer-affected individuals and families.
Organized by Infinit Care in collaboration with Cancer Care Nepal, PinkWalk will begin at 6 AM on Saturday, Ashoj 17 (October 3, 2026). Under this, participants will walk from Kathmandu Durbar Square in Basantapur to Patan Durbar Square in Mangal Bazaar, Lalitpur.
The organizers have stated that PinkWalk will see participation from health workers, cancer survivors and affected families, various organizations, partner organizations, journalists, and the general public.
Since breast cancer is effectively treatable if detected early, the organizers said the main objective of the program is to spread awareness in the community about regular health check-ups, early detection, and timely treatment.
Furthermore, the program will also convey the message that social and emotional support is necessary for individuals and families undergoing cancer treatment and rehabilitation.
Dijup Tuladhar, Unit Head at Infinit Care, said that PinkWalk is being promoted not merely as a walk but as a collective campaign of awareness, hope, courage, and solidarity.

Our main objective is to create an environment for open discussions about breast cancer, to explain the importance of early detection, and to mobilize the community alongside cancer-affected individuals and families. PinkWalk 2026 is being organized in partnership with Cancer Care Nepal, National Hospital and Cancer Center, ISS Sound, Novala Biotech, Pathao Nepal, eSewa, Happy Minds, and Mahilako Sansar, with support from Nepal Cancer Survivors Society, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
The first edition of PinkWalk was held in Ashoj 2080. The organizers said the second edition of this campaign continues the objective of raising awareness about breast cancer, early detection, community participation, and supporting cancer-affected individuals.
