Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Resumes Operations at 9.98 MW Upper Mai Project Following Repairs
Power generation has resumed at the 9.98 MW Upper Mai Hydropower Project, operated by Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Company. The plant returned to operational status on Ashoj 16 after resolving technical issues in the project tunnel.
The 9.98 MW Upper Mai Hydropower Project, operated by Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Company, has fully resumed power generation following necessary maintenance work.
Operations at the plant had been suspended since the evening of Bhadra 21 due to severe water leakage in the expansion joint, which required completely draining the main tunnel to carry out repairs.
Following the successful completion of the repair work, the company confirmed that the plant was brought back online on Ashoj 16 to resume supplying power to the national grid.
