Non-Life Insurers' Business Exceeds Rs 9.83 Billion in Two Months, Sagarmatha Lumbini Tops the List
In the first two months of fiscal year 2083/84, non-life insurance companies collected a total premium of Rs 9.83 billion. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance topped the list with Rs 1.09 billion, while Shikhar Insurance secured the second position.
Kathmandu. In the first two months of fiscal year 2083/84, i.e., up to the month of Bhadra, non-life insurance companies have collected a total premium of Rs 9.83 billion (9 arba 83 crore 25 lakh). According to data published today by the Nepal Insurance Authority, these companies sold 482,627 insurance policies.
During this period, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance collected the highest premium of Rs 1.09 billion (1 arba 9 crore). Shikhar Insurance ranked second with a premium collection of Rs 1.04 billion (1 arba 4 crore).
NLG Insurance stood third with Rs 970.17 million (97 crore 17 lakh), followed by Himalayan Everest Insurance with Rs 960.17 million (96 crore 17 lakh), Siddhartha Premier Insurance with Rs 890.52 million (89 crore 52 lakh), and IGI Prudential Insurance with Rs 820.52 million (82 crore 52 lakh).
Similarly, Oriental Insurance collected Rs 740.06 million (74 crore 6 lakh), Neco Insurance collected Rs 700.69 million (70 crore 69 lakh), United Ajod Insurance collected Rs 610.72 million (61 crore 72 lakh), and Nepal Insurance collected Rs 430.27 million (43 crore 27 lakh).
The collections of other companies are as follows:
- Sanima GIC Insurance: Rs 420.26 million (42 crore 26 lakh)
- National Insurance: Rs 410.15 million (41 crore 15 lakh)
- Rastriya Beema Company: Rs 360.30 million (36 crore 30 lakh)
- Prabhu Insurance: Rs 340.49 million (34 crore 49 lakh)
