Nepal's leading payment service provider IME Pay Limited has appointed Niraj Sharma as Chief Executive Officer effective from Ashwin 12. Sharma will serve for the next four years, while outgoing CEO Jagadish Khadka has successfully completed his four-year term.
Kathmandu. Niraj Sharma has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of IME Pay Limited, Nepal's leading payment service provider. The Board of Directors meeting of IME Pay held on Bhadra 30 decided to appoint Sharma as the Chief Executive Officer effective from Ashwin 12. Sharma has assumed his service tenure of four years starting today.
Sharma, who has gained over 25 years of leadership experience in the banking and financial sector, is experienced in transaction banking, card systems, digital transformation, and retail banking. Along with demonstrating excellent capabilities in digital innovation, strategic growth, and customer-centric innovation development, he has remarkable experience in leading teams and effectively driving institutional transformation.
Sharma's leadership, with his extensive experience in banking and digital financial services, is expected to further strengthen IME Pay's future journey. Outgoing CEO Jagadish Khadka Completes Successful Tenure
Outgoing Chief Executive Officer of IME Pay, Jagadish Khadka, has completed his four-year tenure. Appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of IME Pay on Ashwin 12, 2079 BS, Khadka has successfully completed his tenure.
Under Khadka's managerial leadership, IME Pay has significantly expanded its services, reach, and scope of digital financial services. During his tenure, there has been significant growth in the number of IME Pay users, merchants, and authorized representatives, along with important achievements in the creation of new products and features, innovation, and expansion of digital services. During his tenure, the number of users registered with IME Pay exceeded 14 million and the number of merchants exceeded 600,000.
During his tenure, he played an important role in making IME Pay more inclusive, modern, and user-friendly. Through the expansion of digital loan facilities, Finance 360, IME Pay Circle, Business Link, Business App, Intent Pay, Calendar and Event Service, Insurance Products, and various lifestyle features, he provided successful leadership in making digital payments and financial management easy, secure, and multidimensional.
Also, under his leadership, financial services have been made accessible through the 'Talk Back' feature for visually impaired citizens and operating the app in Nepali language for the convenience of the general public.
