NIC Asia Capital to Manage Birat Agri's Proposed IPO
NIC Asia Capital Limited has signed an agreement with Birat Agri Limited to serve as the issue and sales manager for its proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO). The partnership will support Birat Agri's transition from a private company to a public entity, with proceeds aimed at expanding its integrated agriculture and fish farming operations.
NIC Asia Capital Limited has signed an agreement with Birat Agri Limited to provide institutional advisory services and act as the issue and sales manager for the company's proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Under its "IDEA to IPO" service, NIC Asia Capital will support Birat Agri from its current private-company status through the public issuance process, subject to applicable laws and regulatory approvals.
Birat Agri, based in Itahari-13, Sunsari, operates commercial integrated agriculture and fish farming across more than 100 hectares of reservoir area through around 150 ponds in Morang and Sunsari. The company also operates a fish-feed plant with a daily production capacity of 25 tonnes.
The company plans to use capital raised through the proposed IPO to expand production, develop modern processing infrastructure and strengthen its integrated "Farm to Market" value chain. Its expansion plans include:
- A fish filleting and processing plant
- A 10-ton-per-day pellet feed plant
- Cold storage facilities
- Packaging and marketing facilities
