New Rs 50 note with Vishwanath Paudel's signature enters market
Nepal Rastra Bank has put a new Rs 50 note into circulation from Ashwin 2. The note, bearing Governor Dr. Vishwanath Paudel's signature, features Mount Everest, Lali Gurans, and a snow leopard.

Kathmandu — Nepal Rastra Bank has put a new Rs 50 note into circulation from Ashwin 2. The note, marked with the year 2082 BS, bears the signature of Governor Dr. Vishwanath Paudel.
The new note, issued in the same size and colour as the previous one, has the following features:
- An image of Mount Everest on the obverse
- A watermark of Lali Gurans (rhododendron), with the numeral 50 inscribed
- An image of a snow leopard on the reverse
Although it looks similar to previous notes, the new note is distinguished by Governor Paudel's signature and the printing year 2082 BS.
