NEPSE Slips 20.48 Points as Daily Turnover Reaches Rs. 3.27 Arba
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed 0.79% lower at 2,566.76, snapping a single-session gain, as turnover totaled Rs. 3.27 Arba across 359 companies. Ghalemdi Hydro led the turnover chart, while the Trading sector posted the day's only notable gain and Investment stocks lagged.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended the trading session with a moderate loss, shedding 20.48 points (0.79%) to close at 2,566.76. The decline follows a 11.90-point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,586.24 and moved between an intraday high of 2,586.23 and a low of 2,558.35 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day stood at Rs. 3.27 Arba, with 9,003,388 shares traded across 359 companies through 44,777 transactions. Total market capitalization was Rs. 44.15 Kharba, while float market capitalization came in at Rs. 14.96 Kharba.
Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 22.86 crores, closing at Rs. 275.00.
On the gainers' side, 10.30% Standard Chartered Bank Limited Debenture (SCBD) led with a 5.75% gain, closing at Rs. 1,136.90.
Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (TVCL) recorded the day's steepest fall, dropping 5.84%, with a last traded price of Rs. 274.00.
