NEPSE rises double digits, turnover exceeds five and a half billion
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed at 2624.36 points on Thursday, up 11.93 points. A total of Rs 5.49 billion worth of shares were traded, involving 13.61 million shares of 339 companies.
Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by double digits on Thursday. The NEPSE increased by 11.93 points to close at 2624.36 points.
A total of 13,610,496 shares were traded, amounting to Rs 5.49 billion. Today, shares of 339 companies were traded in 51,728 transactions.
All sub-indices except Investment and Others increased. The Investment sub-index fell by 0.18 points and Others by 0.81 points. The Life Insurance sub-index surged by 125.92 points.
Shares of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha rose the most, by 12.43 percent. The microfinance company's share price, which closed at Rs 1110 on Wednesday, reached Rs 1248 today.
The share price of Hathway Investment Nepal fell by 2.97 percent. The company's share price dropped by Rs 18 to Rs 588.
