NEPSE posts double-digit gain, turnover exceeds Rs 5.44 billion
Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 11.77 points to close at 2,629. During the day, 17.27 million shares of 356 companies were traded, resulting in a turnover of over Rs 5.44 billion. Shivam Cement became the most traded company, while investors of Nepal Lube Oil gained the most at 12.47 percent.
Kathmandu. The stock market closed with a double-digit gain today. The NEPSE index rose by 11.77 points to settle at 2,629. Today, the share prices of 176 companies increased, while those of 95 companies declined.
During the day, 17,270,449 shares of 356 companies were traded, resulting in a turnover of over Rs 5.44 billion.
The most traded companies today were:
- Shivam Cement: Rs 358.1 million
- Himalayan Distillery: Rs 351.6 million
- Sanima Middle Tamor: Rs 243.5 million
The top gainers today were:
- Nepal Lube Oil: 12.47 percent
- Sonapur Minerals: 7.65 percent
- Kumari Sabal Yojana: 7.56 percent
The biggest loser today was Mid Solu Hydro, whose investors suffered a loss of 11.58 percent.
