NEPSE Index Rises 17.15 Points as All Sectors Close in Green
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 17.15 points (0.66%) to close at 2,591.80, with all sector indices ending positive. Total turnover reached Rs. 4.83 Arba, led by Kumari Bank Limited, while Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited topped the gainers and Ridge Line Energy Limited saw the steepest decline.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed higher on the latest trading day, with the benchmark index gaining 17.15 points (0.66%) to settle at 2,591.80. This follows a modest 2.31-point gain in the previous session.
The index opened at 2,578.2 and traded between an intraday high of 2,591.85 and a low of 2,569.08 before finishing at the close. Total turnover for the day stood at Rs. 4.83 Arba, with 12,905,942 shares traded across 353 companies through 52,044 transactions. The total market capitalization reached Rs. 44.58 Kharba, while float market capitalization was Rs. 15.14 Kharba.
Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) led the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 21.11 crores, as its stock closed at Rs. 231.00.
On the gainers’ side, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) topped the list with a 4.91% rise, closing at Rs. 970.00.
Conversely, Ridge Line Energy Limited (RLEL) recorded the steepest fall, dropping 7.85%, with its last traded price at Rs. 668.00.
Among sectoral indices:
- Banking SubIndex posted the highest gain, up 1.28%.
- Microfinance Index recorded the smallest gain, down 0.17%.
All sectors closed in positive territory, reflecting broad-based buying interest across the market.
