Nepal to Host 25th AIRDC Conference in Kathmandu in 2028
Nepal will host the 25th Conference of the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Developing Countries (AIRDC). During the ongoing 24th conference in Harare, Zimbabwe, Nepal was officially awarded the hosting rights for 2028.
Kathmandu. Nepal is set to host the 25th Conference of the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Developing Countries (AIRDC). The conference will take place in Nepal in 2028.
The 24th AIRDC Conference is currently being held in Harare, Zimbabwe, running from September 27–30. The theme of the conference is “Strengthening the Insurance Sector for Developing Countries Amidst Geopolitical and Technological Upheaval.”
The AIRDC conference is held every two years. Nepal has been selected as the host country for the 2028 conference.
According to Chanki Kshatri, CEO of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company, who is participating in the conference, Nepal has been entrusted with hosting the 25th AIRDC Conference. He wrote on his Facebook page, “We have been honored to present the official letter of appreciation to David Kudakwashe Manangagwa, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Promotion of Zimbabwe.”
The AIRDC has 28 member countries, including Nepal.
