Nepal and Bangladesh to Play Three-Match T20 Series in March, Dedicated to Flood Victims
Nepal and Bangladesh will play a three-match T20 international cricket series in March 2027. The series will be dedicated to the victims of the recent devastating floods in Nepal. Both cricket boards have also agreed to cooperate on the development of women's and age-group cricket.
Kathmandu — Nepal and Bangladesh will play a three-match T20 international cricket series in March 2027. The series, a joint initiative of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), will be dedicated to the victims of the recent devastating floods in Nepal.
Through the series, tributes will be paid to those who lost their lives in the floods, and solidarity will be expressed with the bereaved families and affected communities, according to CAN.
All three matches of the series will be held at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
- First match: March 26, 2027
- Second match: March 28, 2027
- Third match: March 30, 2027
Further expanding cricket relations between Nepal and Bangladesh, Bangladesh will support the development and capacity building of Nepal's women's cricket and age-group players. Cooperation will also be extended through visits by Nepal 'A' team and bilateral 'A' team programs to enhance player development and competitive experience.
CAN and BCB stated that cricket will convey a message of friendship, sympathy, and solidarity between the two countries in this hour of grief.
