Nabil Bank Opens Applications for 7th Cohort of 'Nabil SSE' Fellowship and Certificate Course to Boost Social Entrepreneurship
Nabil Bank Limited has invited applications for the 7th cohort of its 'Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship' (Nabil SSE) Fellowship Program and a new batch of its Certificate Course until October 12 (Ashoj 26). Operating under the bank's CSR initiative, these programs have trained 1,580 participants, established 318 enterprises, and generated over 19,303 jobs to date. Nepali citizens aged 18 and above with innovative business ideas are eligible to apply.
Kathmandu — Nabil Bank Limited has officially opened applications for the 7th cohort of the 'Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship' (Nabil SSE) Fellowship Program and a new cohort of its Certificate Course to foster sustainable and inclusive social entrepreneurship in Nepal. Launched on September 16 (Bhadra 30) under the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, interested applicants can submit their applications until October 12 (Ashoj 26).
The bank encourages Nepali citizens aged 18 and above with innovative entrepreneurial ideas—particularly women, youth, and individuals from marginalized or underprivileged communities—to apply. Selected candidates must maintain a minimum of 90% attendance during the training program.
Highlighting the strategic impact, Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nabil Bank, stated that Nabil SSE invests in building individual capacities to create sustainable economic opportunities within local communities. "As we open applications for the 7th Fellowship cohort and new Certificate Course batch, our aim is to identify committed entrepreneurs, enhance their capabilities, and connect them with the knowledge, network, and entrepreneurial ecosystem necessary for sustainable business growth and inclusive economic development in Nepal," CEO Gyawali said.
Since its inception in 2021, the initiative has achieved significant milestones in the social entrepreneurship sector:
- 1,580 participants trained in practical entrepreneurship
- 318 new enterprises successfully established
- 19,303 direct and indirect jobs and livelihood opportunities created
- 113 graduates from 6 Fellowship cohorts, resulting in 93 active fellow-led enterprises
- 1,467 beneficiaries from the Certificate Course, leading to 225 established businesses
The 6-month Fellowship Program, conducted in partnership with the School of Management at Tribhuvan University (SOMTU), focuses on enterprise growth and capacity building. Meanwhile, the 3-month Certificate Course will be executed across 10 regional academic partner institutions nationwide (such as Mahendra Morang Campus, Birgunj Public College, Campion College, Surkhet Model College, among others).
