Nabil Bank Invites Applications for the Seventh Cohort of 'Nabil SSE Fellowship' and Certificate Course
Nabil Bank Limited has invited applications for the seventh cohort of the Nabil SSE Fellowship and a new cohort of the Nabil SSE Certificate Course. Interested applicants can apply until Ashoj 26 (October 12, 2026). So far, 1,580 participants have been trained through these programs, with 318 enterprises established, creating employment and livelihood opportunities for 19,303 people.
Kathmandu — Nabil Bank Limited has invited applications for the seventh cohort of the Fellowship program under Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (Nabil SSE) and a new cohort of the Nabil SSE Certificate Course. The bank issued the call for applications on Tuesday, Bhadra 30, for both programs being run under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Interested applicants can apply until Ashoj 26 (October 12, 2026).
Nepali citizens aged 18 and above with innovative entrepreneurial ideas are eligible to apply. Those selected must maintain at least 90 percent attendance in the program. The bank stated that it continues to run these programs as part of its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship as a means of contributing to inclusive and sustainable economic development.
According to the bank, the programs aim to encourage applications from committed and capable entrepreneurs from women, youth, poor, deprived, and marginalized communities who seek to create sustainable enterprises and jobs while contributing to broader community development.
Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nabil Bank, said that through Nabil SSE, the bank is investing not only in enterprises but also in developing the capacity of individuals who can create sustainable economic opportunities within their communities.
"As we open applications for the seventh fellowship cohort and a new cohort of the certificate course, our objective is to identify committed entrepreneurs, enhance their capacity, and connect them with the knowledge, networks, and entrepreneurial ecosystem necessary to build sustainable enterprises and contribute to Nepal's inclusive economic development," said CEO Gyawali.
According to the bank, 1,580 participants have so far been trained through the fellowship program and certificate course. Those trained have established 318 enterprises, creating direct and indirect employment and livelihood opportunities for 19,303 people.
Through the fellowship program, 113 people have been trained across six completed cohorts so far. The bank reported that 93 fellow-led enterprises are currently in operation. Similarly, 1,467 participants have benefited through the certificate course, with 225 enterprises established, according to the bank.
Established in 2021 as a CSR initiative of Nabil Bank, the Nabil SSE Fellowship has been providing aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with the knowledge, skills, resources, networks, and financial access opportunities needed to grow their businesses. According to the bank, through its two complementary programs—the fellowship and the certificate course—Nabil SSE connects practical entrepreneurship with mentorship, experience sharing, peer learning, academic partnerships, and engagement with the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Nabil SSE Fellowship program, run in collaboration with the School of Management under the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University, is a six-month enterprise development program. The bank stated that it helps participants build the capacity needed to develop, strengthen, and expand their enterprises.
Likewise, the Nabil SSE Certificate Course is an approximately three-month practical entrepreneurship development program. It targets students, aspiring entrepreneurs, early-stage founders, and operating micro and small entrepreneurs. The program provides the knowledge needed to identify opportunities, test business concepts, build practical business models, and strengthen enterprises.
This year, applications for the certificate course have been opened through 10 educational implementation partner institutions across the country.
