MP Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh Announces Mechi-Mahakali Foot March Starting from Janakpurdham
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh has announced a Mechi-Mahakali foot march starting from Janakpurdham after the Chhath festival. The campaign, aimed at prioritizing public dialogue and Madhesi issues, will conclude at the Mahakali River on the day of Maghe Sankranti.
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Member of Parliament Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh has announced that he will launch the Mechi-Mahakali foot march from Janakpurdham on the day following the upcoming Chhath festival. He formally shared details of this initiative during an interaction with journalists in Janakpurdham on Sunday morning.
According to MP Singh, the march will collect symbolic elements from the banks of the Mechi River and officially conclude at the Mahakali River on the auspicious day of Maghe Sankranti. The key features of the padayatra include:
- Mechi-Mahakali Symbolic Confluence: Soil, water, and sand collected in a pitcher from the Mechi River will be offered at the Mahakali River alongside barley and sesame seeds on Maghe Sankranti.
- Public Engagement Schedule: Walking for 5 hours daily while spending 7 hours listening to the concerns and feedback of the general public.
- Core Agenda: Refraining from factional politics within the party while continuously advocating for the rights of the Madhesi community.
He clarified that he has already informed his party about the march and emphasized that he does not restrict himself to narrow boundaries. During the campaign, he stated that he plans to speak less and focus primarily on listening to the citizens.
