Landslide in the share market: Index drops 36 points, turnover limited to 6 billion

The Nepali share market experienced a sharp decline on Wednesday. After a slight increase the previous day, the market fell by 36.25 points today.
Today, the NEPSE index dropped by 1.36 percent to reach 2618.03 points. The share prices of 253 companies declined today, while only 23 companies advanced. The share prices of 2 companies remained unchanged.
Similarly, the Sensitive Index also fell by 6.33 points to reach 467.46 points. All 13 sub-indices of the share market registered a decline today.
On a day when the index fell, the turnover amount also decreased. While the market had a turnover of over 7 billion the previous day, today it recorded a turnover of just over 6 billion.
