Kathmandu. Digital wallet Khalti by IME and ride-hailing platform inDrive have partnered to enable digital payment and receipt of ride fares. Under this partnership, a three-month campaign targeting both inDrive drivers and passengers has been launched.
Through this campaign, inDrive rides can be paid via Khalti, and drivers can also receive ride fares directly in Khalti. Along with this, both drivers and passengers will have the opportunity to win daily rewards.
Under this campaign, inDrive drivers must receive fares from at least five rides via Khalti in a single day to be eligible for that day's lucky draw. The company states that 10 drivers daily can win an amount equivalent to five liters of petrol as a reward.
Similarly, inDrive passengers who pay their ride fare via Khalti will automatically be entered into that day's lucky draw. No separate registration is required for this. Under this scheme, 10 passengers daily can also receive Rs. 200 worth of Khalti balance.
This partnership between Khalti and inDrive is expected to further simplify the process of paying and receiving fares for daily commutes, while also encouraging both drivers and passengers to adopt digital methods.
Prabin Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of IME Khalti Limited, stated that the partnership with inDrive was made with the objective of further expanding digital payment for daily commute-related rides. Regmi said this partnership will prove to be a milestone in creating a convenient digital payment environment for both drivers and passengers and in making digital payment a part of daily life.
The company also mentioned that this campaign will create a convenient environment for both passengers and drivers. The company also stated that this campaign will run from Bhadra 25, 2083 to Mangsir 25.
