JCB India Honors Two Nepali Customers for Their Role in Bhotekoshi Flood Rescue
JCB India has honored two Nepali customers, Ain Bahadur Raut and Netra Bahadur Adhikari, for their significant contributions to rescue operations during the Bhotekoshi flood. They used a JCB 221 tracked excavator to rescue two people alive in the Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project area.
Kathmandu. JCB India has honored two Nepali customers for their significant contributions to rescue operations during the Bhotekoshi flood.
The honorees are Ain Bahadur Raut and Netra Bahadur Adhikari. They were honored at JCB's pavilion during ConExpo India 2026 held in India.
At the event, Deepak Shetty, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of JCB India, praised Raut and Adhikari's rescue efforts.
During the recent floods and landslides in Nepal, Raut and Adhikari used machines including the JCB 221 tracked excavator to carry out continuous rescue operations in the Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project area. The company said their efforts successfully rescued two people alive who were trapped there.
At the honoring ceremony, CEO Shetty said that Raut and Adhikari's efforts instilled hope amid the disaster situation in Nepal. He noted that despite taking great risks in the rescue operations, both remained humble and down-to-earth.
Meanwhile, MAW Earthmovers has announced it is operating special free service camps in Nuwakot and Dhading targeting JCB machines being used in rescue, relief, and reconstruction efforts following floods and other disasters in Nepal.
The camps, operated via JCB mobile service vehicles, provide necessary technical inspections and services for machines deployed in disaster-affected areas, according to the company. Safety kits have also been distributed to machine operators engaged in rescue and reconstruction in risky situations.
MAW Earthmovers said it will continue to provide necessary support to customers and operators as Nepal moves toward restoration and reconstruction of areas affected by floods and other disasters.

According to the company, it has more than 30 branches and over 200 service engineers across the country.
