Industry Minister Sah's Commitment: We Will Remove Legal and Procedural Barriers to Create an Investment-Friendly Environment
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Deepak Sah has pledged to remove legal and procedural barriers in the industrial sector and create an investment-friendly environment. At a parliamentary committee meeting, he stated that cooperation between the government and the private sector is essential.
Kathmandu — Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Deepak Sah has pledged to remove legal and procedural barriers in the industrial sector and create an investment-friendly environment. At today's meeting of the Industry, Commerce, and Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee, he stated that the government is aware of the need to reform laws, procedures, and working styles in line with the times.
Noting that the government's role is to facilitate, regulate, and formulate policies, while the private sector is a key partner in production, investment, employment, and innovation, Minister Sah said the government and the private sector must work together to find solutions.
He made the following commitments:
- To reform laws if they are obstructive
- To simplify procedures if they are obstructive
- To coordinate and cooperate if there is a lack of coordination
- To adopt a policy of zero tolerance for corruption or unnecessary interference
Minister Sah pledged that laws and procedures will be made simple, transparent, technology-friendly, and investment-friendly to address the digital economy, e-commerce, modern supply chains, international competition, and the changing role of the private sector.
