Himalayan Everest Insurance Prioritizes Rasuwa Flood Insurance Claim Payments, Rs 23 Crore Advance Paid
Himalayan Everest Insurance has prioritized the settlement of insurance claims for policyholders affected by the Rasuwa flood. The company has so far made an advance payment of Rs 23 crore 23 lakh 39 thousand 200. Except for 2 disputed claims related to the Gen Z movement, all other claims have been fully settled.
Kathmandu. Himalayan Everest Insurance has been prioritizing the management and payment process of insurance claims for policyholders affected by the flood in Rasuwa.
With the objective of providing relief to policyholders, the company stated that it has so far made an advance payment of Rs 23 crore 23 lakh 39 thousand 200. This amount covers claims under various insurance categories including motor, property, marine, engineering, and group personal accident insurance. The company has been proceeding with payments as per the necessary assessment and procedures of the claims.
According to Rojraj Luitel, head of the claims department, except for 2 disputed claims related to the Gen Z movement, all other claims have been fully settled. He said that further decisions regarding the disputed claims will be made as per the necessary process and resolution of the dispute.
Himalayan Everest Insurance has stated its commitment to making the management of policyholders' claims effective. With the objective of providing relief to policyholders affected by natural disasters, the company has prioritized the claim payment process.
