Government revenue collection reaches NPR 183 billion in two months, 11.59% of annual target
In the first two months of the current fiscal year, the government collected NPR 183.21 billion in revenue, an increase of NPR 25.67 billion compared to the same period last year. This collection accounts for 11.59% of the annual target of NPR 1.58032 trillion.
Kathmandu — The government has collected NPR 183.21 billion in revenue in the first two months of the current fiscal year. This collection up to the end of Bhadra is NPR 25.67 billion more than the same period last fiscal year.
By the end of Bhadra last fiscal year, the government had collected NPR 157.53 billion in revenue. For the current fiscal year, the government has set a revenue collection target of NPR 1.58032 trillion. The collection up to the end of Bhadra accounts for 11.59% of the annual target.
Breaking down the collected revenue:
- Tax revenue: NPR 172.43 billion
- Non-tax revenue: NPR 10.78 billion
Similarly, including grants and other receipts, the government's total receipts reached NPR 184.58 billion. In the same period last fiscal year, the government's total receipts stood at NPR 159.99 billion.
Thus, in the first two months of the current fiscal year, the government's total receipts have also increased significantly compared to last year.
