Government recommends ambassadors for 13 countries
The Cabinet meeting on Friday recommended proposed ambassadors for 13 countries. The proposed ambassadors will now undergo the parliamentary hearing process.
Kathmandu. The government has recommended appointments of ambassadors to 13 countries. The Cabinet meeting held on Friday at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers made the recommendation for ambassador appointments in those countries.
The government has recommended individuals who have led in various fields, gained expertise, and conducted study and research to be appointed as ambassadors.
Proposed ambassadors:
- India – Dr. Nischal Nath Pandey
- China – Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma
- United States – Chiran Jung Thapa
- United Kingdom (UK) – former Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana
- Japan – Jigyan Kumar Thapa
- Israel – Suresh Kumar Karna
- Spain – Prapti Sherchan
- Germany – Sharu Joshi
- Oman – Dr. Padmaksi Rana
- Malaysia – Chudamani Kharel
- South Korea – Prof. Sangam Shrestha
- Sri Lanka – Dr. Manchal Jha
- Saudi Arabia – Giri Bahadur Sunar
Now the government will send the proposed ambassadors for parliamentary hearing. After the parliamentary hearing is completed, the government will send them to the respective countries for agrément. Once agrément is received, the President will appoint them as ambassadors to the respective countries.
