Gold and Silver Prices Dip Ahead of Dashain; Gold Stays Below Rs 300,000 Mark
Gold prices in Nepal fell by Rs 2,200 per tola today, with Tejabi gold also dropping by the same amount, while silver declined by Rs 60 per tola. The decline comes ahead of the Dashain festival, a peak demand period for precious metals.
Gold prices in the domestic market experienced a moderate decline today, falling by Rs 2,200 per tola to settle at Rs 292,200 per tola, down from the previous rate of Rs 294,400 per tola.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) reported that Tejabi gold also fell by Rs 2,200 per tola to reach Rs 291,500 per tola, compared to Rs 293,700 per tola on the previous day.
Similarly, silver prices moved in the same direction, falling by Rs 60 to trade at Rs 4,355 per tola, down from the previous rate of Rs 4,415 per tola.
The decline comes ahead of Dashain, a major festival in Nepal that typically drives up demand for gold and silver. Market analysts suggest that the drop may be due to profit-taking and global cues, but further volatility is expected as the festive season approaches.
