Global IME Bank's 20th AGM Concludes, 10 Percent Dividend Passed
The 20th Annual General Meeting of Global IME Bank Limited has unanimously approved a proposal to distribute a total of 10 percent dividend (4 percent bonus and 6 percent cash) from the profit of fiscal year 2082/83. The bank earned a net profit of NPR 6.04 billion during the review period, which is 15.90 percent higher than the previous fiscal year.
Kathmandu. The 20th Annual General Meeting of Global IME Bank Limited was held on Friday at the Nepal Police Club in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The meeting unanimously passed a proposal to distribute a total of 10 percent dividend to shareholders from the profit of fiscal year 2082/83. This includes 4 percent bonus shares and 6 percent cash dividend (including tax purposes).
The meeting passed the annual report and consolidated financial statements presented by Bank Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal on behalf of the Board of Directors. During the review period, the bank succeeded in earning a net profit of NPR 6.04 billion, which is 15.90 percent higher than the previous fiscal year. Similarly, the bank's operating profit stood at NPR 9.60 billion. With the distribution of approved bonus shares, the bank's paid-up capital has reached NPR 39.686 billion.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman Dhakal expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering trust and continuous support of the esteemed shareholders. He stated that due to the support and cooperation of customers, shareholders, regulatory bodies, and all well-wishers, the bank has been able to successfully complete its glorious two-decade journey.
He reiterated the commitment to further expand the bank in a safer, more reliable, and balanced manner while fully complying with the policies and directives of the Government of Nepal and Nepal Rastra Bank. He also informed that additional investment will be expanded in the digital banking system to provide even more convenient and modern services to customers.
The meeting also passed proposals to authorize the Board of Directors to amend the bank's memorandum and articles of association as necessary and to appoint an auditor for the upcoming fiscal year.
The AGM was attended by representatives of regulatory bodies, shareholders, institutional investors, and journalists.
