Foreign Minister Khanal to leave for New York on Sunday, PM Shah to depart on Ashoj 6
A Nepali delegation led by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will depart for New York on Sunday to participate in the 81st United Nations General Assembly. Meanwhile, a 14-member delegation led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to leave for the United States on Ashoj 6.
Kathmandu. A Nepali delegation led by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is scheduled to depart for New York, United States, on Sunday to participate in the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, upon arriving in New York, Minister Khanal is scheduled to participate in various high-level meetings and ministerial gatherings under the high-level segment of the General Assembly.
The Ministry has stated that during the General Assembly, Khanal will also hold bilateral meetings with counterparts and other distinguished personalities from various countries. It is said that discussions will focus on Nepal's bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, a 14-member Nepali delegation led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to depart for the United States on Ashoj 6. Prime Minister Shah will address the United Nations General Assembly on Ashoj 8.
Nepal's participation in the General Assembly is seen as an opportunity to present Nepal's priorities, concerns, and positions on the international stage. Along with the participation of the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, bilateral and multilateral meetings with representatives from various countries are also scheduled.
