Foreign exchange reserves exceed NPR 39 trillion, sufficient for 18 months of imports
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, foreign exchange reserves increased by 1.2 percent in the month of Shrawan to NPR 39 trillion 46 billion 23 million. This reserve is sufficient to cover 18 months and 8 days of goods and services imports.
Kathmandu. According to the financial situation of the month of Shrawan published by Nepal Rastra Bank, the country's foreign exchange reserves have reached NPR 39 trillion 46 billion 23 million.
The total foreign exchange reserves, which stood at NPR 38 trillion 97 billion 67 million at the end of Ashad, increased by 1.2 percent to reach NPR 39 trillion 46 billion 23 million in Shrawan.
Of the total foreign exchange reserves, Nepal Rastra Bank holds NPR 35 trillion 17 billion 99 million, while banks and financial institutions (excluding Nepal Rastra Bank) hold NPR 4 trillion 28 billion 22 million.
According to the central bank, this reserve is sufficient to cover 21 months and 8 days of goods imports and 18 months and 8 days of goods and services imports.
