Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Prabal Jung Pandey, has highly commended the government's prompt response, supply chain management, and infrastructure restoration following recent natural disasters. Sharing his views via social media, he noted that government mechanisms—including security forces—were effectively deployed for rescue and relief operations, medical treatment for the injured, Bailey bridge construction, and the reopening of blocked highways.
Pandey highlighted that the rapid restoration of key trade and transit routes prevented shortages of daily essential goods in the market. According to him, key government measures included:
- Maintaining supply chain management by operating alternative routes one-way when the Prithvi Highway was obstructed.
- Initiatives to reopen the Rasuwa road, the Nuwakot–Galchhi section, and preparations to open a new track at Krishnabhir within 10 days.
- Strengthening supply management through disaster relief operations and Bailey bridge construction.
Furthermore, Pandey expressed confidence that the 21-point action plan recently issued by the Ministry of Finance for capital market reforms will boost investor morale and serve as a milestone in mobilizing domestic capital. He noted that addressing long-standing demands from investors and the private sector will yield positive impacts on the capital market.
Thanking the government for advancing the legal amendment process requested by the business community, Vice President Pandey stated that these legislative revisions will foster a more investment-friendly environment in Nepal. He emphasized that continuous cooperation between the government and the private sector is essential to build a strong and resilient national economy.
