Finance Minister Dr. Wagle on Three-Day India Visit, High-Level Meetings with Sitharaman and Jaishankar Scheduled
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is departing for New Delhi today on a three-day visit at the invitation of the Indian government. During the visit, he will hold meetings with Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. He will also participate in a high-level diplomatic dialogue and an industrial conference.
Kathmandu — Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is departing for New Delhi today on a three-day visit to India at the invitation of the Indian government. The Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday approved his visit.
Leading a six-member delegation, Finance Minister Wagle will travel to New Delhi today. Officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are said to be part of the delegation.
During the visit, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will hold a meeting with Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday. On Friday, he will meet Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. On the same day, he is scheduled to participate as the chief guest at a high-level diplomatic dialogue program organized by former Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran.
Also on Friday, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will attend a program organized by Javed Ashraf, President of the India Trade Promotion Organisation.
On Saturday morning, the Finance Minister will participate as the keynote speaker at a conference with prominent industrial houses organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
Similarly, on Saturday afternoon, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle is scheduled to participate as the chief guest in an academic discussion on development economics organized by the Delhi School of Economics.
Dr. Wagle is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday evening.
