Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle to hold discussions with Indian industrialists today, urging investment in Nepal
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will today urge Indian industrialists to invest in Nepal during a roundtable discussion organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi. He will clarify the Nepal government's stance on investment-friendly legal stability, investment security, and certainty of returns.
Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is set to urge Indian industrialists to invest in Nepal today.
On the occasion of the Finance Minister's visit to India, Minister Wagle is scheduled to address a 'roundtable' discussion with industrialists organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the CII headquarters in New Delhi at 9:30 AM on Saturday.
The event, to be chaired by CII President Dr. Suchitra K. Ella, will feature Finance Minister Dr. Wagle as the chief guest.
During the session, he will call on Indian industrialists to make new investments in Nepal and encourage those who have already invested to expand their investments.
He will also clarify the Nepal government's stance on the following matters:
- Investment-friendly legal stability
- Investment security
- Certainty of returns
According to the CII, around two dozen industrialists, including former CII President and ITC India Chairman Sanjiv Puri, will participate in the discussion with Finance Minister Wagle.
