The government has prepared the institutional and technical foundation and brought it into implementation through the 'Farmer Registration Program Implementation Procedure, 2077' and the 'Farmer Registration System Management and Operation Directive, 2081'.
The Center has coordinated with all local levels to identify genuine farmers. The registration work is being carried out based on the collection of data including farmers' cultivable land, irrigation, crop and livestock production, and agricultural business.
According to the Agriculture Census 2078, there are 4.13 million farmers across the country. So far, over 2.6 million farmers have been enrolled in the registration system. The Center has stated that the work of registering the remaining farmers is ongoing.
