Citizens Bank Completes Performance and Strategic Review in Karnali Province
Citizens Bank International Limited has completed a performance and strategic review program with the participation of branch managers and employees in Karnali Province. The program reviewed last fiscal year's progress and discussed the current fiscal year's budget, strategic action plan, and key priorities. The bank stated it will hold similar programs in remaining provinces in the coming days.
Kathmandu | Citizens Bank International Limited has completed a performance and strategic review program in Karnali Province with the participation of its provincial heads, branch managers, and employees.
The bank organized the seminar under the title "Overcoming Distance, Delivering Results: Performance and Strategic Growth Review – Karnali Province 2083/84". The program was held in the presence of the bank's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ganesh Raj Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and other senior management officials, according to the bank.
During the seminar, a thorough discussion was held on the review of last fiscal year's progress, the current fiscal year's budget, strategic action plan, and key priorities. Additionally, interactions were held on enhancing the quality of customer service and further strengthening coordination between the center and the province to achieve targets, the bank stated. Currently, the bank operates 11 branch offices in 8 districts of Karnali Province.
The bank has already completed similar strategic review programs in Bagmati, Koshi, Madhesh, and Sudurpashchim provinces. As a continuation of the same campaign, the seminar was held in Karnali, and the bank stated that programs will be organized gradually in the remaining provinces in the coming days.
In the last fiscal year 2082/83, the bank achieved remarkable progress in business expansion and profit. During the review year, the bank's loan disbursement increased by 1.24 percent to Rs. 177.33 billion, while deposit collection rose by 9.22 percent to Rs. 233.81 billion. During this period, the bank's net profit increased by 63.05 percent to Rs. 2.0986 billion.
Citizens Bank, which has successfully won the world-renowned 'Bank of the Year 2024' and '2025' titles, has been offering innovative services in digital banking as well.
In collaboration with PhonePe, the bank has launched Nepal's first virtual credit card, the 'Citizens PhonePe Credit Card'. Additionally, the 'Citizens Gen-G Savings Account' targeting the new generation, the integrated online platform 'Citizens Digi Bank Service', and a special 'Freelancer Savings Account' for freelancers are in operation.
In addition, the bank has been providing modern services such as the facility to apply for shares and obtain CRN numbers directly through its mobile banking app, and the 'Cross Bank Teller' service that allows customers of other banks to receive cash by scanning a QR code at Citizens Bank branches.
Currently, the bank states it has been providing modern banking services to approximately 2.064 million customers through its 200 branches, 167 ATMs, 3 extension counters, and 42 branchless banking units across 61 districts nationwide.
