Although Kevin Schade's shot was saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, Igor Thiago scored on the rebound to make it 2-0. In the fourth minute of injury time, Fábio Carvalho added a third goal. Carvalho scored from Schade's cross to seal Brentford's victory.
