Birata Agri to Issue IPO, Appoints NIC Asia Capital as Institutional Advisor
Birata Agri Limited, a company in Nepal's agriculture and aquaculture sector, is set to issue an initial public offering (IPO) for the general public. The company has appointed NIC Asia Capital Limited as its institutional advisor and sales manager for the IPO.
Kathmandu. Birata Agri Limited, a company in Nepal's agriculture and aquaculture (fish farming) sector, is set to issue an initial public offering (IPO) for the general public. The company has appointed NIC Asia Capital Limited to handle all institutional advisory and sales management related work for the IPO it will issue in the future, in accordance with prevailing laws.
Under its "Idea to IPO Service," NIC Asia Capital will provide Birata Agri with the necessary advisory services, from converting it from a private to a public company through to the share issuance.
Birata Agri, which has been engaged in commercial integrated agriculture and fish farming through approximately 150 ponds across more than 100 hectares of water body area in Morang and Sunsari districts, has been producing fish feed through a modern fish feed plant with a daily capacity of 25 tons at the Itahari-13, Khanar Industrial Area.
The company aims to utilize the capital raised from the public share issuance for the following purposes:
- Establishing a fish processing and filleting plant to process pangasius fish using modern technology and produce fillets and value-added fish products
- Constructing a new pellet feed plant with a daily capacity of 10 tons for livestock and poultry
