Bhote Koshi Flood: Garima Development Bank Contributes NPR 10.1 Million to Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund
Garima Development Bank has announced a total contribution of NPR 10.111 million for the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of those affected by the Bhote Koshi flood. This includes NPR 1.62055 million from employees' one-day salary, NPR 3.490561 million from the bank to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund, and an additional NPR 5 million direct support from its Corporate Social Responsibility fund.
Kathmandu — Garima Development Bank has announced a total contribution of NPR 10.111 million for the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the Bhote Koshi flood.
According to the bank's Deputy Chief Executive Officer Anil Regmi, the bank will mobilize this support through various channels:
- NPR 1,620,550 from employees' one-day salary and allowances
- NPR 3,490,561 from the bank to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund
- An additional commitment of NPR 5 million in direct support from its Corporate Social Responsibility fund, in coordination with local bodies, for programs related to education, health, and rehabilitation of citizens in the affected areas.
The bank has paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the natural disaster and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. It has also wished for the speedy recovery and safe rehabilitation of the injured and affected citizens.
