Another defeat for Tottenham, Aston Villa win 3–2
In the English Premier League, Aston Villa defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3–2 to secure their first league win of the season. Tottenham, meanwhile, have managed only two points from five matches and remain winless, increasing pressure on coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Kathmandu. In the English Premier League, Aston Villa defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3–2 to claim their first league win of the season. In the match played at Tottenham's home ground on Saturday night, Villa displayed an aggressive game from the start.
For Villa, Johan Manzambi scored in first-half stoppage time to give the team the lead. Nicolas Jackson doubled the advantage with a goal in the 67th minute. Then Emiliano Buendía scored in the 79th minute to put Villa in a 3–0 position.
Tottenham pulled back two goals late in the game. Conor Gallagher scored in the 86th minute, and Jan Paul van Hecke scored in the eighth minute of stoppage time. But Tottenham could not equalize.
With this win, Aston Villa have accumulated four points from five matches. Tottenham, however, are limited to just two points from five matches and remain winless in the Premier League this season.
Tottenham coach Roberto De Zerbi, who was already under pressure before the match, faces increased pressure after this defeat.
