388 Families in Dhanusha Receive Land Ownership Certificates After 9 Years

Dhanusha. 388 families in Kshireshwarnath Municipality-1 (formerly Ramdaiya Bhabadi VDC wards 2,3,4,6,7, and 8) in Dhanusha have received land ownership certificates (lalpurja) after nearly 9 years since the completion of surveying.

These 388 local families, who have been residing as self-occupants for a long time, have now formally obtained legal ownership over their land. The Land Survey Office Dhanusha completed the necessary procedures and distributed the land ownership certificates to them.

The surveying work in that area was completed in 2074 BS (2017 AD). However, despite the completion of the survey map, the necessary legal and administrative procedures could not be completed, delaying the distribution of land ownership certificates for a long time. With the long-stalled process now moving forward, 388 land ownership certificates have been distributed.

With the receipt of land ownership certificates, the ownership of the land for families residing as self-occupants has been established. After registering the self-occupied land and distributing the land ownership certificates, local residents will be able to receive legal and economic benefits.

With the acquisition of lalpurja, it will be easier to mortgage the land in banks and financial institutions to obtain loans. Similarly, with clear land ownership, resolving land-related disputes will also become easier.
